Just picked this up from Gymboree tonight because I couldn’t resist. I was on the lookout for something that wasn’t going to be too hot for Lucy to wear to day care for Halloween. Everything I found, though totally adorable, looked like she would just roast in it. I strongly considered this monkey costume, but I would prefer to keep her from spontaneous combustion. Gymboree is already sold out of, and I think permanently, the matching bumblebee tights so I’ll have to make do with something else.
I hope I bought it big enough because let me tell you, this baby is a hefty one. At her 9 month check up last week she weighed 22lbs. I kid you not. Her pediatrician says this is no big deal so I’m not worried about it. Plus, who doesn’t like a chunky baby thigh? Delicious.
And yes, bring on your Blind Melon comments. I welcome them.

I think you should just send as the girl from the Blind Melon video instead of as a bumblebee! Start the obscure costumes young is what I say.
